This night, mesmerizing slowly
Sleek clouds surround my moon
Slow-dancing, nimble pixies romp
To simple song of loon

Stars shimmering on the wet grass
Breeze blowing making waves
Crickets waxing up their fiddles
Bats fly now from their caves

A fairy ring is formed this night
Dragon in the centre
The forest has become the stage
If you chose to enter

Pixies, fairies, nimble nymphets
Wise owl watching over
Entertain the forest creatures
Rhythmical on clover

And I perched quiet on a branch
With snifter of brandy
Listening to the forest noise
Eyes becoming sandy

When I wake to morning echoes
In bed of feathers soft
Night's dissipated ardour spent
Safely in my barn loft

Quatrain chain = 8-6 8-6
This is 3 years old now... slap it if it talks naughty... It is quite clearly not a sonnet? and it was fashioned after a hymn...
