I was actually at a festival where they played and even though I never went down to the actual crowd area, their pit looked like a feeding frenzy of sharks.
I was at a festival earlier this month where they were playing. Fred Durst still is a sad excuse for a frontman even worse than before their come-back. I checked out another band but heard some pieces of them. Still sounded horrible.Too bad Wes Borland is wasting his talents in that band since he's a pretty good guitar player. I agree with an earlier post that some songs are even pretty decent because he lays down a killer riff.
I agree that Cure for the Itch (Linkin Park) was a good song.
And it's a shame that Limp Bizkit had to be a ****ty nu-metal band fronted by Fred Durst because Wes Borland and Sam Rivers are fairly decent musicians. Case in point is this song. What a wicked bassline... and that tone is delicious!
Shouldn't this be the other way around? Actually, I don't love Green Day but they have definitely been on a decline for a while and this song is yet another nail on the coffin.
I find their music emotionally evocative. I can dig it.
Say what you will, but Stipe writes good lyrics, Buck is an underrated guitarist, and Bill and Mike are a tight rhythm section. Now that Bill's a farmer, well, **** it.
