I'm a voice coach and my students put on a concert every January.
I have assigned a 13 year old girl and a 14 year old boy to sing a duet together, but I'm not sure what song to assign to them. The girl is a soprano 2 and the boy is an alto. Both of these young adults have really strong voices and I would love a song that compliments their voices together. Since I already have a ton of songs from musicals for my other students, I would really a song that isn't from a musical.
I have also assigned two 16 year old boys a duet. I was thinking of doing the song "No More" from the musical "Into the Woods". One is a mezzo and the other is an alto. Opinions/suggestions?
My two daughters will each be performing a solo and I don't know what songs to give them. My one daughter is a soprano and the other is a soprano 2. Suggestions please?
