Not sure if it is me or the bike.

Went for a solo ride today, one of few I get to do, Grumpy loves to ride too.

So, I decided to open it up a lil bit (since Grumpy stayed at home) not sure if I rode it too hard or what, but I had the throttle down hard in 1st and sounded like it was starting to sputter or there was a miss-fire (ingnition breakdown) same thing happened when I wound out 2nd. I don't have a tack, so I have no idea what RPM's I was pulling or if I indeed red-lined it.

Do the C50's have a rev-limiter built into them?, Was I pushing it too hard?
What are my limitaions? I know it's not a Crotch Rocket, but I thought it would have a lil more omph. Am I expecting too much from a C50?

Almost all modern bikes have over-rev protection, either in the ignition or the computer. You'll need to try again and see at what speed/gear combination it occurs.

An 800-class cruiser won't feel like a rocket, and that engine is tuned to pull best at mid-rpm. You won't get much by wringing it out.

Thanks, thats pretty much what I thought, just wanted to make sure.
I'll try again in the morning and post my results. Then keep those results in mind for future riding.

Riding normally, the bike runs great and pulls my wife and I well.
Today was one of the few chances I had to ride alone, and I got a lil more aggresive than normal. Riding Solo, the bike is so much more responsive and a "H" of alot faster. I am tempted to remove the rider's seat and get her, her own bike.
