sometime-early adopter, not frequent changer looking for Verizon phone

I have been eligible for a new phone on my Verizon plan since, well, 2002.

Currently using a CDM tri-mode phone which was the great new revolution in late 1999/early 2000 when I bought it.

I don't use the phone all that often, (am still on a $50 family share plan w/450 minutes). However I would like to be able to replace the Tungsten E, Digital Voice Recorder and cell phone with one device.

Note-taking would be the primary non-phone-specific item. Size and weight not really an issue. I am disabled and spend a lot of time on the internet--we have FIOS and it's nice.

When I do get out I need a phone I can rely on, and one that will not be so sensitive my slight tremors won't make it a headache to use.

In the absence of a really good phone to do all of that, I will continue with the Tungsten E--even though I only use it for note-taking and reading text documents (of the Gutenberg variety).

No need for a camera. Bluetooth would be nice--I could use one headset for both phone and computer.

Suggestions?

Phones to look at or Siren's phones that may look good but are instead deadly traps?

Thank you.
