I recently changed my betta fish's tank into a larger tank about 3 gallons and he hasn't been moving. He stays at the bottom and lays there and comes up only for air. He also comes up to the surface and stays there in the corner. This isn't him he's usually excited when I see him but now he is not. I use aquarium salt and I've noticed that there has been a lot of small bubbles on his plant and castle and all around the side of the tank, but this is not a bubble nest. I just fed him and he eats fine but now he just doesn't move. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! Also, when i change the water i prepare the water by filling tap water into cups and water gallon things and I let it sit for a couple of days for the water to get to room temp. should I do this differently or is this fine? And he is pretty young he has most of his color and i got him in the summer of 2008.

My betta does this too. I had him for about 4 years. I think it is normal. My betta fish will stay at the bottom of the tank and then go to the corner of the top. I think it is normal.

hmm... well if you didn't used to put aqarium salt in the tank, maybe hes not used to the salt now. try not using the aqarium salt, or maybe less
