question for you

i have an old toyota car, i don't drive it often. when i drive it, it is only for short distance.
i had trouble starting the car recently, so i went to the mechanic, he changed something which he thought that was causing the problem.
and he also used his tool to check my battery, he told me that the battery is fine.
today, i had to turn the key like twice before it started again. so i am worried that it is the battery's problem again because it is probably more than 3,4 years old.
1. so my question is if he checked it with his tool, and told me that the battery is fine, should i still be worried about the battery since it is kind of old alrady?
2. and it seems that i have trouble of starting the car only when i park the car for a few days. once i start to drive it on any particular day, it seems that it works fine.
thanks.
