Something fishy is going on...

Has anyone else had this experience? I think someone is hijacking gnutella search strings!

Twice now this has happened to me. I have done a search multiple times over a period of days on a certain string, looking for a particular song without getting any meaningful results. First, I was looking for a song called Use Me by Michael Braughn. The search term was
"braughn use me."

Then I was looking for Warren Zevon's Diamonds in the Sand. My search term was
"zevon diamond sand."

A few days later, when I did the same searches again, I got direct hits on files with these names:

braughn use me.url
braughn use me.html
braughn use me.mpg

and

zevon diamond sand.url
zevon diamond sand.html
zevon diamond sand.mpg

Perplexed but suspicious, I downloaded the html files and found nothing but a links to:

http://freesexyworld.com/html.html

What is going on here? Is freesexyworld.com hijacking gnutella search strings?

Wow, after reading your response it all made sense. I didn't realize the scope of the problem. I had done a search on the discussion board for the url of the offending party in my case, not realizing that they were a dime a dozen. When I didn't get anything back I figured I should post my question. I should have known better!

So is there any effective way to stop this kind of abuse?
