someone please tell me what might be wrong

my toes the one next to the big toe and then next to that one have now widen and are so far apart. there is times it is so hard to walk . and also every now and then there is a sharp pain . sometimes it goes completely away, and then sometimes it will last for a while. from the top of those two toes it measures about a inch apart.
if there is anyone out there that might know what this is, and why it is happening please let me know.
we are out of town on husbands job and wont be back home for another two weeks. think i need to see a doctor, as it seems to be getting worse.
hope someone can give me some answers. thanks
 
I just read about toe problems online since my mom suffers from hammer toe. Perhaps you have problems with the MP joints on that foot. It causes the toes to separate. An orthodic arch support with a metatarsal pad might help if you happen to have flat feet. Gel toe separators might help you. It sounds highly uncomfortable! I hope you find a solution soon!
 
Seriously, it sounds like Morton's Neuroma, look it up. I just had surgery fo it and am doing will, my toe is going back into place, they were also widened as you say. I got the sharp pains also. Please look up Morton's Neuroma.
