Someone please please help me name this movie

I saw this film a while back and can't remember the name. It's doing me head in. This is all I remember

It's american and there's a female cop/detective and a male one. He turnsout to be the bad guy and I remember being surprised because he usually plays a good guy.

It had something to do with missing money/murders I think. I remember a scene where he pays for something that he and the feamle cop have in a cafe with this money. Later when it's revealed who he is he says about the money being a clue.

Near the end he goes into a house and up to the bathroom and a bomb goes off supposedly killing him. The female cop is outside. But he put a body in the bath tub and went down some sort of hatch and out the back of the house when it went off so he's not dead.

Then I think he rings this feamle cop from the airport and reveals who he is and the clue when he paid in the cafe.

I am desperate to find out what this is, it's being doing my head in for months. Any suggestions are welcome.
 
i think you might be referring to the little known jason staham / wesley snipes thriller 'chaos' (2005)

the money is 'marked', and statham (who is a cop) uses it to pay for coffee early on in the movie, even though he shouldn't have had it. this is revealed at the end.

he also dissapears down a hatch at the end of the movie, when a bomb goes off, blowing the house up, and escapes to the airport in disguise (well, a hat and shades), giving the 'every action has an equal and opposite reaction' speech. this sounRAB very similar to the movie you describe.

the only thing that doesn't match is he is buddied up with ryan phillipe, not a female cop (although there is a female cop in the movie) ... ? so i'm not 100% sure.
