For the past 9 months or so I've been having these "attacks". Sometimes they start with a brief quick pain in my right jaw and move underneath my right rib and back, feels almost like a muscle spasm on the right side of my body and get tight in my jaw. It happens 3 times on average, then stops. Like nothing ever happened.
I've had clean EKG's, blood chem, chest x-ray, echo, and halter. Heart is okay, to my understanding but it's getting to be so damn frustrating. I really don't understand why this is happening and I'm constantly scared it's something with my heart and I'm just going to up and die soon. I'm 17, and too young for this.
The reason I'm posting in this section is because I also deal with lots of Acid Reflux, Gerd, IBS, and on occasion.. even spitting up bile. There's always a nasty burn in my stomach, too that I just can't seem to get rid of.
I woke up from one of my attacks the other night, radiating all around my back, jaw, and ribs. I sat up in a panic and got a disgusting mouth full of acid/bile! Layed back down, and was fine again. Haven't had one since.
Is this possible with stomach related issues? Jaw pain? and Can Gallbladder cause this, too? I'm just scared and out of answers lately

Miss Jen, Have you been checked for gastrointestinal problems? You have symptoms which can stem from several issues. Besides the heart issue, there is anxiety, fibromyalgia, gall bladder, and more.

If you've worn a Holter monitor and all appears well, I wouldn't be too concerned about the heart, especially at your age.

Have you related all your symptoms and your concern to your doctor?

Take care,
Blessings,
Annie

Yes, I have. I have so many stomach problems. I take Prilosec everyday for my GERD/Indegistion, diagnosed with IBS two years ago, and am now getting my gallbladder looked at because of the pain underneath my ribs and the occasional spit up of bright green bile and acid.
I've told my normal GP and she doesn't think it's anything at all, and I also discussed this issue with an ER doctor and he really didn't say much either. Just that I needed the holter moniter and the ECHO because I was having a panic attack there and my pulse was 177, he only wanted to check for Tachycardia.
It's definitely annoying, I have jaw pain on the right side all day loooong. Don't know how much of it just mental since I'm scared to death of these attacks happening again.
Idk. I'm just scared because I didn't think gastro problems/gallbladder probs could result in jaw pain, I was only thinking HEART :/

Miss Jen,

I hope I don't offend you by saying this but maybe anxiety could be causing many of your symptoms. I know as I've been there. In my case, it became necessary to take anxiety medicine. I took it as long as I needed it and as soon as possible I got off of it. Some people have to stay on it but if at all possible, it's best to take it only as long as necessary as it's highly addictive and one must be extremely careful not to overdo it.

Anxiety, panic attacks, stress, etc., will cause all kind of physical symptoms. Fear will cause panic attacks.

If you haven't been checked for TMJ, I'd ask my dentist or my GP to check your jaw for this.

There are many good books you can read to help you understand anxiety, panic attacks, etc., and how to work through it. Dr.Claire Weekes has written some very good ones. (I hope I'm not breaking any rules by mentioning the author.)

I pray a lot. It has helped me tremendously.

I wish you all the best and a long and happy life free of fear and anxiety.

Blessings, Annie
