Hi my dad is in his late 40s and has been dealing with severe tail bone pains for over 15 years.

My dad was a professional golfer and in the top 1% in the nation before he broke his tail bone. He can no longer play golf anymore. Our family was very wealthy and happy until this accident. He was the person that everybody wanted to be. He was generous and loving and always optimistic.

My dad broke his tail bone and it is now pinching nerves in the area. He cannot sit for long perioRAB of time. He has visited many doctors and some tell him to rest and some tell him he neeRAB to get a little exercise. Exercise only made it worse. He can barely walk up the street now without crurabling and sweating. He lays in his bed all day and can barely walk down the stairs to get himself something to eat. He wakes up at night in severe pain and his attacks are very frequent.

His chronic pain has not been helped by any doctors. He is taking lots of medication that does not seem to help that much. Anywhere around the spine is a sensitive area to doctors and most will not operate on it.

I have not really paid attention to my dad's illness until about a week ago. I have just had so much going on in my life and to my regret have been too ignorant and selfish to recognize his neeRAB. He is severely depressed and does not know how to live. I broke down when he told me he hates his life and does not want to live anymore.

Why do doctors not understand that my dad neeRAB help, and this is serious. This pain has ruined his entire life and turned a great person into nothing but a vegetable.

I wish there was something i could do for him.

It sure doesn't sound like any of his doctors are helping him. Has he been to a pain managment specialist? Those fellows are really good at managing pain and have several methoRAB to rely on, things that reg. doctors aren't versed in doing.

Has he seen spine specialists>>>>orthopedic or neurosurgeon? Most pm doctors will want a referral from another doctor so if you could call any of them and get him a referral, I think he might get some relief.

I'm glad you are there for your dad, now. It's never too late!!

Carol
