Somebody scratched my 1198

So I was riding my 1198 around town when I just happened to stop by the store to pick up something. I usually dont do this with the Ducati but I was right there so I decided to stop real quick.

Well I park my bike and another gentlemen is there with his CBR1000RR which was extremely nice, he had the thing basically track prepped. I chatted it up with him for a couple of minutes then went into the store. I returned to my bike a bit later and the guy with the CBR was there and told me somebody was sitting on my bike. He told them to leave it alone and made sure they didnt do anything to it till I got back (which I reallly appreciated). I noticed a big scratch on my tail section. It looks like they scratched the tail trying to throw his/her leg over the seat.

I was able to clean the scratch so its not so obvious, but theres still a big chip/scratch in the clear coat. Is there anyway to fill this in or buff it out? Im seriously heated about this I take all this time to care for my bike and some idiot messes it up!
 
i feel your pain mate!! I cant leave my bike sitting alone here neither...poeple are looking at it with their hands...
you should send a pick it might help some paint pro can give you his best advice...
 
I once saw a guy parked next to my bike get out of his car, and walk over and sit on my bike. I promptly walked out of the store, sat on the hood of his car, and asked him how he liked the bike...

He was royally pissed, but I think he got the point.

I once had two little tikes climbing all over my 848 outside of a grocery store.. the best part, the mom was watching and talking on the phone.. I calmly waved to her and she pulled the phone away and waited for me to speak.. still not sure why I was waving.. I then pointed at my bike and said, "Excuse me ma'am, but do you see a slot for quarters anywhere?"

I've seen signs of people sitting on my bike -usually the little scuff on the tail section. Problem is, a lot of people don't realize how high they need to swing their leg over. It's not like a cruiser.

I like the idea of sitting on their hood. It's just hard to catch them in the act though.

10 day a go a girl unpakt her Louis Vuitton bag on my 1098 had same scars on the tank
So that was insurrens time paintjob
 
Sitting on the hood of their car is great, but given how we feel about our bikes, straddling their girlfriend/wife would probably be more comparable

I am on fire Im so mad about the scratch. I will try to post some pictures up tonight after work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to have my beauty walk around with scars bc of some ignorant person.
 
Did the same thing to my sister in laws car. She sat her four year old on my bike and he was banging on the tank with his muddy shoes. I lifted the brat off and she gave me a nasty look as I asked her if she fukkin understands what someone elses property is. For some reason it was a nice short visit for her that day.
