The past is the center of the future. Without it you have nothing but a blank slate. In my where I’m from poem the roots of my past are drawn out…from Ireland, hammy-downs, and moving. These are the essence of me, and mean everything. Coming from a totally different perspective is my sarcastic remarks in Over the Rainbow. Saying how “wonderful and reliable” Northwest high school is. I tried to show my readers that you can never forget your past no matter how much you try it’s a part of who you are .with showing how my past affected me I can influence the reader to do other same. To stop, and think about who they are inside and out. By sitting down and analyzing yourself, you can help others do the same thing. When you really think about it life flies by. We all need to slow down and enjoy the time and lives we have.
