I've been with my boyfriend for 9 months now and 1 small incident lead me to think about his behavior in the past. I'm kind of convinced that I may be in a relationship with a psychopath. I researched online and looked up the signs of a psychopath and he had some of the traits but with a twist. Twist as in, at first he portrays some traits of a psychopath but at the end, he turns out okay.
What they say: It says that psycho paths are very controlling, jealous, and possessive.
What he does: There was an incident where he found my tumblr (blogging site) and found a picture of my celebrity crush. He was upset and accused me of lying to him saying that I was hiding something from him.
The twist: He apologized and realized he was overreacting and I promised that I won't make a tumblr account again. (Yes I deleted my old one because of this)
What they say: They say psychopaths are very attached, clingy, etc. If the girl ignores their call or breaks up with them, they'll get very anxious, worried, nervous, etc.
What he does: There were many times where we would argue and I wouldn't answer my phone when he calls. Once this silent treatment continues for several hours, I find him parked outside my house (fairly far away but at a distance where I can still see him) and he rings the door bell to talk it out.
Twist: There is none, he does this ALL the time when we fight. And last night, I attempted to break up with him and because he is about 40 minutes away from where I live (because of school) I never would've expected him to come to my house....to my surprise...he came to my house around 12 am.
What they say: Online, it says psychos tend to control what their gf's wear, do, who they hang out with etc.
What he does: One time I told him that I might start wearing makeup (I have never worn makeup) and he suggested that I dont. When I asked why, he said that I might attract the wrong attention.
Twist: There isn't any, he still PREFERS that I not wear makeup. And if I did wear makeup, he said to only wear it in front of him and not anywhere else in front of other ppl. If i did, he said he wouldn't be happy about it.
So there you have it. I hope you can see what I mean...he has some traits of a psycho path but in then end, he seems to know what he did wrong and realizes he can be overdramatic sometimes. He's my first boyfriend and this is a pretty serious relationship in that I'm 21 years old and he's 22. I haven't had a boyfriend all this time because 1) my parents wouldn't allow me to until I finished highschool and 2) It would distract me from my responsibilities and priorities.
After last night when he came down, my mom started to worry and suggested that he may be a potential psychopath. I'm really worried and we're even considering marriage. Our relationship reminds me of a Lifetime movie called, "Devil's Pond" where the guy was very good to his gf UNTIL they got hitched. After they tied the knot, his true colors shown through but by that time, it was too late!
Oh and the small incident that happened was when my bf, me, my brother, and my mom was at the market. These stupid high school kids were looking at my butt (according to my brother) and he told my bf about it. When my bf saw those kids, he gave them the scariest glare and when my mom saw, she said she got the chills down her spine. She says it's like seeing a different person. When I saw him, there was this fire in his eyes that gave me the chills too.
I am not completely head over heels to the point where I'm blind to all his flaws...when someone tells me (like my mom) that he seems like a psychopath, I don't get defensive and I'm open to all sorts of judgement.
I hope you guys can help me out and diagnose this issue!

By the way, he doesn't text or call me obsessively. I read that psycho paths call/text/emails in an exaggerating manner but my boyfriend doesn't do that. I think I text him more lol
