Some strenous hikes within an eight hundred mile radius of San Diego.?

My dad and I have been looking for some new hikes to do this summer. We have completed Half Dome and were planning on doing Mt. Whitney last summer but do to a recent surgery I had, we were unable to do so.

I was looking for some other hikes from around 15-25 mile roundtrip. Whitney would be one but I was wondering on any others.
