...just wanna clear things up

1) How come Soldiers seem to be promoted faster than their Marine counter-part?

2) And why Marines get the scraps at the end of the table (equipment-wise)?

That is all, thanks

1. Everyone is promoted in the timeframe of their MOS and TIG/TIS, regardless of Branch.
2. Marines do not get the scrap, they get the edict. Somehow Marines have been built today to be more than they are. All it is is spcefic mission on water. The operartive "water", find a beach.

1) Because the Army is bigger, and is growing, so it has more turnover and more slots for soldiers to move up. The Marines are a fraction of the size.

2) Marines get some of the best equipment. Their warlock systems are superior. Their uniforms are superior. I'm not sure what it is you think the Army has the Marines don't. Then again, the Marines are the ones blowing their money on Ospreys...

Don't believe the myths The marines get the best equiptment and are by far the better fighting force on land as a whole. The Army secures the land after the Marines have cleared it for them.
