I am just putting out a warning to some of you.
I have recently been contacted by a debt collection agency called NCO Financial Systems. They have called me several times and have sent me a letter stating that I have a hospital bill that has been sent to them that they are trying to collect. I did some research because I thought this sounded a bit funny because I know this specific bill was taken care of nor do I have any outstanding debt to any other companies. I contacted the hospital to make sure and my debt has been paid in full. This company has been contacting me about something that doesn't exist. I realized that they were trying to scam me into paying them a bill that doesn't exist. I also did research on the company and I also found out that the things that they do to collect money are illegal. The letter they sent me did not state what company they were collecting for nor did they explain much when they called me several times. I asked questions and they didn't answer them or they tried to ignore my questions. If this company contacts you be sure to do your research first before you pay them anything. You could be paying them payments on something that is already paid for. Also be sure to contact the company that they are claiming sent them your outstanding bill. Gather information and turn them in. I actually heard that was a law suit going on against this company for more than what they are doing to me. I seriously hope this company goes out of business for their illegal practices. Just thought I would warn some of you about this. It is tough times out there so why should you make a payment on something that doesn't need to be paid. We all could use the extra money now days right. xD
