Most of the threads here seem to be about depressing experiences with the N95 (whether it be because you're getting frustrated from having not recieved it yet, to being horrified with the battery life!).
On Wednesday I popped into Phones4U and took out a T-Mobile contract with the N95. This particular N95 had an annoying problem... the top half of the slide was quite loose in the bottom right hand corner, meaning pressing the end call key, or any of the other buttons nearby, resulted in the top half of the slide bouncing up and down making a tapping/clicking noise. A bit irritating to say the least. It was only on the Wednesday evening that I discovered that Phones4U had actually put me on the wrong T-Mobile tariff.
I popped back in on Thursday expecting it to be a fairly easy process to switch to the correct tariff. However, I learnt that Phones4U needed me to return the entire phones, box and accessories along with the T-Mobile sim card. I was reasonably pleased about this because I was not very happy with the loose slide. And to my even greater delight, the new N95 has much less serious a wobble (although a wobble is still there, don't get me wrong). However, this wobble isn't very noticable, and certainly doesn't make a clicking/tapping noise as you're using the keypad.
Most people would be annoyed at the extra hassle and time (over an hour and a half) of changing their tariff. All I can say is that I'm really glad Phones4U cocked up the first time around!
So far I'm enjoying my new phone. I was truely amazed as I watched it track my progress home in the car (I'm new to this GPS melarkey), but battery life is (so far), horrendous. It has lasted just over 5 hours this evening. However, I am perfectly aware that I have been playing with it a lot, and that the battery hasn't been primed yet, so I fully expect this to improve considerably. The N95 is also blazing fast in comparison to my N73 - definitely a very noticable improvement in that respect.
All in all, a happy camper so far
