We have been together and a solid in love couple for the entire 14 years. We have been engaged that long too. We see marriage as older than religions and country's for us it like a rite of passage or just something..important to us...
To explain, we had none stop work, projects and unexpected care giving for a loved one. We always wanted a big friends and family weekend type wedding that would be fun for everyone but never had the time.
We are both not religious and have a sharp disrespect for laws that govern peoples taste/domestic choices (such as marriage laws) therefor we need a good way to explain the "why now" to our diverse family of Christians/Athist/Agnostics/Pagens/Buddi… you name it.
We really look forward to your thoughts.
