First few days we had our puppy, age 12 weeks, he humped my legs constantly, bit my legs, tore holes in my jeans; behaved very aggressively toward me,and toward our small older dog, yet squatted and peed when anyone else approached him. I stopped him from humping me by telling him no and holding him by the back of the neck. From then until now,age 5 months, he pees whenever he's around anyone. First thing in the morning and all day long, rears up on us to be petted, pees down our legs and on our shoes. Breeder says peeing is caused by lack of training, says pup is doing it to get attention and suggests reprimanding the puppy. I know the puppy can't control it. He's peeing because he's excited. I tell him OFF, push him down. All the while, he's peeing.
He seems very confident at times. Dominant with smaller, older dogs.Grooming is a chore because he fights me and will snap at the brush and clippers. When I restrain him at grooming time, he pees on himself.
In other words, he pees when he's happy/excited, he pees submissively when he's restrained. Any suggestions on what to do? He's peed on all of us, on our shoes, on our rugs. If we're sitting in a chair, he'll jump across our laps and pee on us and the chair. What puzzles me is that he seemed so dominant with our older dog and with me the day with got him. The first time I used the clippers on him, he snapped at my face; not out of fear, but to tell me I was being bothersome. After grooming him several times and having to wrestle him each time, he snaps at the clippers, the brush, the nail clippers or chomps down on my hand. When I take him off the grooming table, he'll rear up on me, wanting me to pet him, and pee on my legs and shoes. Not looking at him doesn't work. He'll jump on us from behind and pee on us.
