Sold my used car AS IS 20 days ago. A car buyer suddenly demand a refund.?

I sold my car 20 days ago to this guy. He signed the bill of sale which shows the sale is AS IS. Suddenly he called me today and asked for a refund. He said that he found serious issues with breaks today and asked me to pay half of maintenance costs or he will return my car. He even threatend me with a potential lawsuit. I had no problem with my car until I sold and he now demands for refund after 20 days he purchased my used car. Pink slip has not been delivered to him since it is on the way from my bank. (it was agreed that I give him a title after I receive it from the bank) He even said that the car is not his since he didn't register his car yet.

Anyway, I think this is ridiculous situation but want to ask people here what I should do if he keeps demanding. I live in California. .
 
You are in the right, and wise to have a signed copy of a bill of sale You may have to file a Police report if there is any threatening or the like, but for small claims, you have nothing to worry about
