Ok, so my question is quite simple. I heard (from various people/websites, and not any websites where people don't know what they're talking about) and apparently, NASA, as well as other scientists/astronomers (apparently most of them) have said that in 2012, the activity from the Sun is expected to be enormous. And to put out huge Solar Flares. Even ones at the magnitude of ones from the 1859 'Carrington Effect' event. And as I said, apparently NASA, and the many, MANY other scientists and astronomers have confirmed that this expected Solar Storm is at the magnitude, or even higher, then the ones in the 'Carrington Effect' event. So I'm asking if this is true. And if NASA, or if anyone else who actually knows what they're talking about have confirmed this. Oh, and apparently there is a massive Solar Storm expected to hit the Earth around March 5th, 2011. And I'm also asking weither that expected event is a big one like many people are claiming, or is it just any other Solar Flare that we would get at any time that is just like any other average one. So please, only give me well-educated answers. And only answer if you actually know what you're talking about. And please don't answer saying things like "yup its 2012 were all doomed". Please give me a very well-educated answer, and only reply if you know what you're talking about. And pardon my spelling and punctuation if I missed anything. Again, thanks for your help to all who have replyed.
