I wonder how long it will be before we see a Soham film ?

I personnally hate these type of films even the latest Moors Murder Longford film , which was greatly applauded by the chattering Movie luvvies ...was distasteful I think

Dont get me wrong I just feel that making entertainment on other peoples saddness/heartbreak is sickening ..!
Maybe its just how I feel ..

I want to go to the pictures to be entertained an taken away from my 9/5 an not sent back to the sick headlines an normality...?

I hope I dont sound naive or silly the cinema is a wonderful escape into the writers story ...not some tawdry red top Real life Horror story ..
Do you think we shall these films ?

A bit soon I think for the Soham tragedy to be made into a film, but the moor's murders was acceptable in my view because of the length of time since those events.

I found the subject matter utterly distasteful ,
an if you lived so close to the Moors Murders as a youngster , so would you ..

Maybe you think if we have a few Good actors its ok ?

an Yes OK lets make it ..

who for Huntley .....
Daniel Radcliffe
(as a sad poor misguided monster maybe ?)

Hols an Jess dont bother with stars they are not really in it are they .. :( :(

its NOT ALL about the perpetrator isnt it ???????

Lets make it *Huntleys Mums Plight* an get the Movie luvvies chattering classes on his side ...

he will be out in a few years on a Zeleb big Bruv .. !!!

Back to your points

Brady an Hindley didnt just affect the victims an families ...

Lets stop this its ok third party Longford tv film bullsh1t ..

Its WRONG on so many levels ..

or shall we call Radcliffe ?

There have been countless films about the suffering of others. Time alters our perspective. Films about the holocaust are accepted now, whereas they might not have been in 1946. Give it a decade or two and anyone's suffering becomes an acceptable basis for our entertainment. It's just the way we are as a species.

Oh don't be such a bloody drama queen. "The Moors Murders" with Maxine Peak was made with the blessings of the families of the murder victims, so I don't know why you're getting your knickers in a twist just because they're making dramas about Hindley, and you grew up "nearby". It's television, and if people feel the content might offend them then don't bloody watch it, simple really isn't it????

I really don't understand your point. Unless you want all films to be Disney (not that Disney couldn't offend) type things with no offensive material at all.

You might as well say lets not include any rape, murder, child abuse etc in films incase we offend victems of these crimes. If a film is made it will noway glorify the crimes, it just wouldn't get made if somebody wanted to take that route with the Soham murders. I don't see a problem, just don't watch if you know it will offend you.

Get a grip...

I think it's kinda...wrong. Making a film out of a tragedy?

I wonder what the families think of it? I mean surely they'd have to give permission?

I don't mean to sound heartless, but I wonder whether one of the daRAB (the bald one) would offer to appear.
From what I remember he always seemed to be doing interviews on both tv and papers(not talking about appeals), brought out a book, he seemed a bit like how the McCanns crave the attention.
Maybe it was the grief.

The Longford film was brilliant and lets face it if every kind of tradgedy or disaster was out of bounRAB we would only ever get comedys in the cinema.
Some of the best films ever have been based on true stories of great loss or tradgedy.
