The lawyer who I hired to help me with my Social Security Disability case has been sending me letters stating the SSA only paid them $5300, when they are due $6000. They keep stating the effective date of their representation of me was after 22 Jun 09, when the truth is it was on 16 Jun 09, and I have a copy of the agreement to prove it. Social Security has a copy of the agreement also, I imagine thats why they gave them (i.e., the lawyer) $5300. They keep sending me letters, stating they are due $700 and are going to contact SSA and demand they take it out of my monthly benefit. Now I know SSA will tell them to go pound sand, but I am getting tired of getting these letters. What can I do?
