I filled out the form necessary to get a new social security card (I just got married and am changing my last name), and I put it in the mail to the social security office about a week ago. I went to the social security website (ssa.gov) to check the status, and it says I have to enter my social security number and confirmation number. What is a confirmation number and where can I find it?? Please help. Thank you!
