Please be HONEST with what went through your mind.
Did you guess the first guy was being mugged and the second guy was being arrested?
I admit I did. What does this say about our prejudices?

My answer in both was "he is being mugged".

That said, I know I'm prejudiced I'm not racist but I am prejudiced. In fact, we all are, if you are human you are prejudiced, you have to be.

Never ever saw a robbery where the bad guys had the victims up on the wall. So I'll have to say in both cases I would originally assume it was the police.
I would not continue in my assumption but would look closely to see what was happening.
In one actual case in a black neighborhood, outside a bar, during daytime I saw two white guys in suits with 4 black guys on the wall. Even though one white guy had a gun out it looked wrong. he held the gun like he was a TV cop. Then I noted the unmarked police car was a fake. I stopped and the white guys tried to BS me (I'm white and was also in a suit) while I waited for backup. They realized I knew they weren't cops and ran, we caught the one with the gun and the other dropped the victims wallets, which he had already taken.
So I'm not sure what it says about my prejudices but I have heard plenty that shows a lot of peoples prejudices against the police, no matter what race.

Both men are being arrested. One is being arrested by four African American officers, the other is being arrested by four white officers.
