SoCal & Texas

With less than a week left in the sandbox a decision will be made sooner than later on my next bike.

Question is:

Where in SoCal or in Texas did you buy your 848 and for what price?

I only ask because I am stationed in SoCal but I am from Texas and will be going home for a month.

Ive read the "Where to get service in SoCal" thread and now have answers to that.

If you know of any deals, (like the free Termi's with purchase before 31Jan in Whittier,Ca) or if you own or work at a stealership and can get a good price, please post up.

Thanks for your time and assistance.

I have heard from my dealer and the regional manager that Advance motor sports of dallas is suppose to be a pretty good place but i have never been there personally

Wow...

Are people just not that talkative if it doesnt involve half naked women or carbon fibre?

Well I guess from the overwhelming help that was given here I will be set.

Thanks for your post triblack.

Easy answer.
Which dealer has the best price
Which state has lower sales tax
Which state has cheaper registration and insurance

Is there a cost involved in transporting it to cali from Texas? Once you get back you can do a mornings worth of phone calls and make your determination. Or time permitting do it via email while you're still in the box. I'd surmise that buying a bike in TX would be cheaper in the long run other than shlepping it to Cali. Commercial transport to your base in cali I'd guess would be about $500.

And thank you very much for going in harms way to defend the country.

I would like to compare prices between Cali & Tx.

Transportation shouldnt be an issue since i know peeps with trucks.

Hell i might even look into getting one again. Used to have an 06' crew cab Titan with the Repsol.

Was just trying to get some leads on some previous buyers in these areas. Time in the box is shorter than a fort night.

Thanks for the post and support STY.

it might be better to ask around for a good dealer in the regional sections of the forums. call the dealers up for pricing from there.

seeing as how ur prob on a crazy time zone thing, u can email most dealerships to get a sales person. heck from ppl in this forum you can prob get a sales guy's email.

when i purchased my 848 from wash, i did most of it through email. talked to him on and off but for the most part worked out the details in email.

Well I had someone call the dealer in Austin, Tx and they said they would only give me a $500 discount.

No other specials or offers.

Not liking that.. Looking at other places.

What is the lowest price anyone has ever heard of?
