HDTV = Component(480p)
EDTV = S-Video

widescreen 480p is DVD quality. So, it is much better then what you get with crappy composite.

In Europe, we will get a Scart Cable(RGB), you will need to get this cable if you want a good image

Component > RGB(in Europe only) > S-video > Composite

No, yellow, red and white is composite. Component is red, blue and green which is mainly used for HD but will give you 480p from the Wii.

EDTV is 480p. If you meant SDTV, if it has component inputs, it will still look better than s-video. you should always use the best connection available, regardless of the TV.
