This is a serious question to. I am a huge fan of rock n roll. I listen to bands like Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Ozzy with Randy Rhoads, and its not that I don't like the hard guitar sound. Because im a huge fan of bands like AC/DC for example and their name pretty much says it all cause when the guitar kicks in its really hard sounding.
My problem with grunge rock is it sounds WAYYY too modern and alternative. My friend likes Nirvana for example and I know how everyone says Kurt Cobain was amazing. Thats cool in all but really when I listen to Nirvana. I see no difference in sound compared to a lot of alternative bands like Korn which is supposedly not even the same music style. But to me it sounds like that. The vocals, music in general. Everything about it sounds like it has no references from the 80s or 70s when rock n roll was really rock n roll. Grunge to me was basically the big step into turning rock into the alternative sh*t it is today.
