;992398']No, it's not drugs. Or even booze.
I'm prepared for the stupid people to bombard me with the "OMFG, you racist!" bullshit. Trust me, when you are a white male who doesn't kiss minorities' asses- that's common. Why do think we're so good at laughing it off?
So, hear me out on this. It's actually difficult to say this, but I'm prepared for the backlash. I've touched on this before.
I'm here in Georgia. Now, as you may know, Georgia has a shit ton of black people. There are a shit ton of black people on the base. The army doesn't discriminate, which is a good thing- so in theory, there should be a balance of people of different groups in positions of authority, who got there based on what they have done.
In theory, of course.
Recently, there has been some probing into the way things are in my unit, and other units around us (from what I understand). Anyway, there are a shit ton of black people in the positions of authority. And they have their own little way of doing things. Behold:
We've had a few drug pops. It happens, even though it shouldn't. Every white person that has popped on drugs has been booted out. The black dudes? It gets buried. How do I know? They hit the blotter, all of them. I have to enter a violation into the system that keeps them from getting a security clearance. I know who does what. It comes with my position. The same thing has happened with DUI's and domestic violence. The white and hispanic dudes are crucified, the black dudes are still around- and some popped a year ago.
A black guy of higher rank told a white girl that white women were the destruction of the black man (she is married to a black dude). Right in front of her face. Nothing happens. No apology, nothing. Why? She reported it to the Equal opportunity, and nothing happened.
In these shops, there has been a problem with black favoritism. Black NCO's get black junior soldiers rerady for promotion, send them to schools, and lift them forward. The others are neglected and denied the chance for training and help, and not given a reason- the non-black soldiers are denied, and they need a signature. When the soldier goes higher in the chain, the black NCO starts writing negative paperwork for bullshit, so he has a case to bring against the soldier as to why he was denied.
Black soldiers are walking around the barracks and pretty much bullying the younger soldiers in the barracks. basically, I have been told there are threats of violence and obscene comments toward females. When it was reported, 10 black dudes and 5 more who really weren't there (and some of them were NCO's) lied about it and made the other soldiers out to be racists, to go as far as to make up stories about all the white soldiers getting drunk and throwing beer bottles at them and calling them "n*ggers". I confirmed this after spending one Friday night at the barracks to witness the behavior.
Black soldiers openly talk about whites and make racist comments. A person very close to me was called a racist because she doesn't date black guys, and they made fun of her because she liked "crackers". They openly sit and talk about this, in the open, and when it is reported nothing happens. However, if a white NCO makes the mistake of mentioning fried chicken or says he has no reason to attend the Black History month dinner- or even tells someone that after the civil war Abe Lincoln intended to send the slaves back to Africa (I don't know if it's true, don't ask)- he is in trouble. And has to give a class to the entire unit. It was openly said by a high-ranking black NCO that "blacks can say whatever they want after what the white man did". In public.
So now it's all wrapping up. I've witnessed a bunch of this shit, and have no problem reporting it- I don't report hearsay, and I don't make shit up.
But the problem comes after all of this. My ladyfriend and I were watching television at her apartment one morning last week, when one of the black NCO's she reported shows up in her house. Demanding she open the door. She had to put a military no-contact order on him. And it's not an isolated incident. More threats toward soldiers. NCO's pulling soldiers into the office and asking things like "are you sure you want to do this", and "what would you do if someone destroyed your career".
Then there's the "Obama" chant shit. I haven't figured it out.
It's annoying as fuck, stupid, and there's no good end that can come out of this. Why? This day and age, it's the white man and his diabolical schemes. We're persecuting black soldiers. We're jealous of their success.
And that's it. It's irritating, and it's going to boil over.
