So this latest stimulus bill just got agreed to between the house and senate. They cut middle class/working class tax cuts from $1000 to $500 to now $400 per person. They gave more tax cuts to big business (not small business mind you) instead. And they gutted education, technology, healthcare and energy spending. All for a bill not a single republican will vote for anyway, except for Spector, Collins and Snowe. Thanks republicans, if this bill doesnt work... your fault.Sean F...I appreciate you sourcing your info, although you fail to point out an important detail or two.1) The CATO institute is a far right group thats not interested in balanced discussion.2) 200 economists may sound like a lot, but its not. For those 200, I'll show you 2000 who are much more respected in their field and agree that stimulus is the way to go.

Spector, Collins and Snowe have no spine. I wonder what perks they received for their cooperation?

thank you chenneySpector, Collins and Snowe.will be the last of the republican partythe rerst are on the way outha ha aah ahha hahfact

Typical Republican grandstanding. They never actually produce any positive results. The Republican party used to have some substance. They've become a joke.

Sorry, but it's Obama's fault. Those 3 RINO senators are in no way representative of the Republican party as a whole. This "stimulus" package is all on Obama and the dems. Or perhaps you'd like to blame Bush if it doesn't work?

The bill won't work either way. Those who voted FOR it are getting bags of "Happy Retirement" cards. Those who voted AGAINST it will keep their jobs in 2010.DO not blame us if this doesn't work...that's why we stepped out of the mess. Look at the bright side, if it DOES work, they you can't break your arm patting yourselves on the back. If it doesn't.Crow for dinner for you.

Any republican that votes for this pig of a bill will not win re-election. By not voting for it,when it fails, it is all on the shoulders of the democrats. Conservatives oppose this bill because it is garbage. We want no part of it. The first bailout was way too much and now the democrats are wanting to further burden our children for generations. The bill will not work. It doesn't make a bit of economic sense.

Spector said he hasn't even read the Bill. We are voting against it. If it passes and fails it's your fault. Why else would yu need some republicans on it.

Not really. They didn't need the support of Republicans. So...it passed. The economy will rebound with or without the gynormous pork bill. However...it passed....Watch the DOW shoot to new levels...any minute now!The economy will recover anyway...watch all the libs do and endzone dance. If it fails...it's all democrat.

Actuality you accusation is based on the flawed concept of any government stimulus working in the first place. If you follow the link you will find a letter to Obama urging him that stimulus is not the way to go and it has been signed by 200 of the top economists. So according to them if, and when, this bill fails it will be the fault of the people that are pushing it and the very idea behind it.
