...How expensive it is, and how much debt it'll create. Right?
But what if, debt was a meaningless thing? What if America went by the World Bank system rather than the gold standard, which essentially keeps countries in debt making it pointless and probably wasteful to pay it all off?
What if government spending is a good thing that makes life more bearable for many people in unfortunate circumstances?
What if we made peace with other nations so we didn't have to go to expensive wars to resolve our conflicts, and thus invested our money rather than burn it into paying off debts or avoidable wars?
National/Federal debt, is not, really, a big deal. We pay it piece by piece. The stimulus package will create new jobs which increases tax revenue, it's an investment we can make. If it fails then it's a mess, but the only people wanting it to fail are republicans
