So, the guy advocating for reform in China is a hero who wins the peace prize?

But Julian Assange is a "terrorist?" A "sympathizer with radical Islam?" An "America Hater?"

I'm sorry, but the hypocrisy of the Western Media is beyond appealing. I am not defending China's actions, but how can we point fingers at them for locking this guy up when many Western nations demonized Julian Assange for rightfully giving information to the people {apparently, the rightists would rather let their Televisions spoon feed them propaganda certified by the Corporate power} and eventually arrested him on a false charge of "sexual misconduct."

How are we any better than China? Explain, please.
I meant to write "beyond appalling" not "appealing."
Ignore that typo, please.
Seiko: Harms way? The documents revealed the truth about the war.
If American people, and further more, the Western people, are willing to be blind and will give up their freedoms because of their irrational fear that "terrorists" are all around them and coming to get them, they are being manipulated by a powerful tool. That tool is fear. The power structure uses it to keep you in your place, as demonstrated by your post.
happy2b_white: And we all can tell that the charge was utter BS, and an excuse to lock him up for posting information. Most of the supposed "evidence" against him is barley credible.
Hmmm: It was the way the reported the incidents. Liu Xiaobo is presented as a hero, but Jullian Assange is presented as a criminal. It makes no sense.
Little Red Hen 2.0: After he was openly being pursued by police he did.
"Assange is cherry picking and releasing documents which only hurt a country he doesn't like (the US). Liu is trying to change his own government peacefully, Assange is trying to hurt a country he doesn't like."

Cherry Picking? You mean exposing the lies that were told to support an unjust war that killed and burned thousands? Assange isn't trying to hurt America. America should never have authorized torture, allowed private contractors to shoot a citizens, or started two wars on the bases of lies.
America shouldn't have covered up the raping of women by American soldiers. It should never have dropped acid on people in Fallujah, burning and deforming innocent men women and children.

"Liu Xiaobo is advocating reforms in a totalitarian state where he is a citizen and they roll you over with a tank for protesting."

And this is somehow different than the police in America who savagely beat protesters who protested the wars? Different than when they sprayed pepper spray in their eyes? D
