So should i ask her to the favorites dance?

So I am 16 and a sophomore, and she is 14 and an eighth grader. I like her and i am pretty sure she likes me too. We are somewhat "talking". I really want to ask her to go to the favorites dance with me but there is only one problem. I am friends with her older brother who is my grade. I play sports with him, so I'm pretty close to him. I'm kind of worried of what he'll say when he finds out i asked her to the dance. idk. maybe i'm over thinking things. But yeah, advice would be appreciated.

She will feel so out of place at the dance for being so young. You got to let her grow up a bit. And, never never never date a friends little sister. You will be destroyed.

well, i think first off you should talk to her brother and ask for permisson.
but make sure that he doesnt tell his sister that you asked.
cause if i was her no offense but i'd be pissed off.
but then again it would be sweet that you asked my bro about it.

but like i said talk to him first mainly b/c you two are friendds
