can't return fire? Obama limited rules of engagement such that US soldiers cannot return fire if civilians are around, so the Taliban use civilian shields and slaughter them.

Tell me Obama, who WA Post leaked says never intended to win in Afghanistan so all those US lives were just wasted...

that he can't go out yakking and yukking while our young me die due to his treason and stupidity?
 
Being one of them, having lost my foot to an rpg I deeply resent that the notion of the president doing his job is wrong. This is a venue for him to reach a certain audience to lead our country.
We who have fought, do not fight with a hand tied behind our back, if we take on fire, yes, we TRY not to kill civilians but I can guarantee you many, many have been killed in our firing.
Until you have held a dying child in your arms you have no right to accuse the commander in chief who has our men in harms way trying to fix the larger issue which is the BUSH debaucle of Iraq and the subsequent forgetting of the war in Afghanistan, Rice said the Taliban had been defeated, you have no right to question his motive for you do not know what is in that mans heart.
I trust him more as a commander in chief and at least we are in the RIGHT war now, not the one where upwards of 1 million Iraqis died and 5000 of my men, over 40 whom I knew personally.
So, in my opinion, it is time for you to either lead, follow or get out of the way, but do not degrade our soldiers by making them out to be stooges in politics.
We are living in a between 8-20 to 1 ratio of kills. Do not EVER again in your life state that our troops are being tied down by our president for the real problem is that we forgot that war in the first place and now we are actively engaging the enemy and as my friends write me, they tell me of great advances and what they are doing to keep your butt safe.

Do you have any idea how out of line you are. You are denegrating OUR soldiers by saying that they cannot return fire if civilians are around. That is not true. They are to minimize civilian casualties as an effort to win the peace. Do you not understand that the presidency has many facets and for Obama doing letterman is one of them.
You do not see his tears as he signs a letter to a grieving family. You have no right to say these things. You have just peeved off a lot of people that know that Bush was the one who got us into that mess and you seem to have not cared about the 5000 and 50000 wounded for a stupid useless and illegally waged war in Iraq.
That was the stupidity.
Getting us out of Iraq has already saved lives.
Doing what we are in Afghanistan is what we are doing because this is what he was handed. A war that was said to already have been won by the previous idiot that held the office. So, if you want to scream about the blood of our troops, they are there because W. put them there and FORGOT about them.
We cant wage war stupidly. We just cant kill uselessly and you have an answer from a REAL VETERAN OF THIS WAR right on here that I read the answer.
To him, you owe an apology and you sir need to learn that you are very sick to be saying things such as these.
