Shouldn't they have done what they said the Democrats should when Bush made his choices, and just hold an "up or down" vote on the nominees?

And, if you mention about the appointees' "politics", you automatically get a fail. By winning the election, the President gets to nominate whomever he wants; then Congress gets to vote.

Given that, why should Americans listen to the Republicans who complain about the majority party using "parlimentary procedures" to pass their bills, when Republicans are also using "parlimentary procedures" to block the basic functioning of the government?
For example, why did Republicans complain that there was no head of the TSA when the underwear bomber terrorized the nation, yet they refused to vote on Obama's nominee for Chief, TSA for year before it happened?
