or some shit. it looks about 8% better with just the components, but my TV bugs out whenever I switch to 480p mode. Not exactly worth the 30 bucks I'd venture to say, but whatever. Shouldn't have gotten my hopes up about a cheap wal mart TV.

Whats your TV spec? Component accepts 480p input, simple as that.

Not all TV's with Component accept 480p. I had several TV's in th epast that had componenet but couldn't display a Prog scan DVD.

Even if not progressive, Component is MUCH better than composite or even S-Video.

480i means no progressive. I have a Phillips that is similar to that. I believe you can only get 480p on an EDTV or above only.
