And at first glance it didn't look like my Zebra Danio was dead or anything and he wasn't lying anywhere around the tank. We checked the filter several times and finally on the 4th day we found him stuck in the spongy material in the filter... and he was still alive. My question is, since the filter helps gather bacteria and other gross stuff could my fish be contaminated? Should I not release him into the tank with other fish?
