So my band wants to tour this summer...

We're a metalcore/hardcore band that has been around the local SoCal scene for a little more than half a year and we collectively decided that we'd want to start touring this summer without any support from a label. Is this even possible? If not, why? And if yes, is it as simple as calling a venue decades in advance telling them you want to play there at a certain date? Any help is much appreciated.
 
You can do it without a Label..but it isn't easy. Make frienRAB with banRAB in other states/towns. Help get them shows and they help get you shows. Call venu's and plan your trip.
 
wanna get me one? the other guitarist's g/f goes to school their, & the b/f of our biggest local fan goes to bu. so we'd like to play there. possibly early january?
