...gears 5- 6 none for 1 - 4? yeah i just bought this bike today too um everything was fine until i took it out for a spin at around 11:00 pm and i tried to do a wheelie but i like accidentally twisted the gear shift mechanism on the right handle....yeah how can i fix this problem. and does any1 know the proper way to shift gears...?
 
When you buy a bike, the gears tend to need tuning after the first few miles riding.

Take it back to the shop and have them tune the gear shift for you, it should be free.

Also, you should never use gears 5-6 in back with gear 1 in front, that can seriously damage the chain, the derailleurs, and the gears, and could cause the symptoms you described.
