reasons is it bad? so basically its a uncharacteristic release it says on my form exactly NGR 600-200, 8-35c(5)(a) Failure to meet medical procurement standards of AR 40-501, Chapter2 prior to entry on IET. i don't really understand what that means i did a little research in to it and allot of reading later i came to the conclusion it was just medical reasons really. At least i think that is the reason i was prescribed to anti depressants about 6 months into my enlistment and informed my sargent of this. After a week or so i had a break down and ended up in the hospital for trying to commit suicide i know not the smartest thing but i could not really help it much. What i want to know is this a bad discharge to have? I have been having trouble lately finding a job recently about 6 months or so after the release i was charged with possession of marijuana and sat in jail for a bit. i know a possession charge isn't as bad as it sounds i only started to smoke to basically get away from my problems because my medication wasn't doing what it should and i know it was a stupid thing to do but i haven't touched the stuff in over a year and have been on probation for almost a year and a half now because of it. ive been trying to find work recently to pay my fines and finally to try to piece my life back together but i don't know why its so hard to find work right now is it because of the discharge? the possession charge is not a big deal i know plenty of people that have great jobs with that charge
