I went and looked at the car I want on Saturday and made the offer and would have purchased it that day but they didn't have anyone there in the credit department or in the service department (to certify the car). On Saturday, the extended warranty would have been for 80,000 miles or 8 years but now it is only 6 years (but still 80,000 miles). I really want this car but got screwed by these circumstances. My family won't drive this car for too many miles so the 8 year would have been more fitting than the 80,000 miles for us. The dealership told me that they didn't know about this change until Monday (yesterday) because they didn't get signage because they have fewer than 15 certified dodge cars on their lot and only those with more than 15 got signage for this. The salesman called me immediately about this and was very apologetic so I believe him.
What are my options here? Take it up with Dodge to get 8 years, go after a further discount with the dealer (which may not happen), go after Dodge and ask them for a discount, etc. Which would you do and if I wanted to take this up with Dodge, is there a number for me to even call to complain?
