So confused about financial aid?

Okay, so I filled out my FAFSA for the 2009-2010 year back in August. I had originally planned to attend a community college this semester as I had in the spring 2009, however due to expenses I was unable to attend. I am now planning to go to a University in the Spring of 2010 and live on campus. My question is do I need to wait and reapply for 2010-2011 financial aid on January 1st or can I still recieve funding for the spring since I already filled my fafsa out? If I do have to reapply, will I be able to recieve my money before school starts in late January? Thanks a bunch! Anyone that can help gets 10 points!
 
you should be ok with financial aid for the school year starting in jan. if you plan on taking classes after june sometime you'll more than likely have to reapply for the aid. you could always call the number on the FAFSA website too to get a better answer but you'll be fine for the classes in january and should recieve the aid before classes start (like a week or two)
 
The 09-10 application will only be good until June 30th, 2010. This means that if your semester/quarter starts before this date you could get one semester's worth of financial aid from the 09-10. On July 1st every year, a new financial aid year starts. The 2010-2011 applications will NOT be out until January or February.
