So I have been on doryx for about 6 weeks now. My complexion was soooo bad, so I don't necessarily want to quit taking it, it is helping some. Howeer, I'm on my second yeast infection already, and I've had two diflucan with this one without relief. I'm miserable, I take probiotics twice a day, eat yogurt with live cultures at least once, often twice a day and drink kefir every other day or so. I don't know what more I could possibly do to prevent these. I've never been someone whose been overly prone to them, but this is ridiculous. Tips? I'm also using peroxide paRAB to wash my face and differin. I've had moderate improvement so far. Everything burns my face though so I don't know if something else would work better.

It sounRAB like you're using an awful lot of products at once. You could be causing extra irritation to your skin, which can make acne worse. Since you mentioned that you get burning that's a sign of too much. I'd ditch the peroxide wash and switch to something gentle to wash your skin.

I've just started using Differin and find that it's working great, but it does dry the skin some. I've read testimonials from some others who found it was extremely irritating on the skin, especially in the first month or so. And the directions specifically say not to use other harsh treatments such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. You also need to stay out of the sun when you're using it.

Tetracycline is also hard on the body as a whole. So if it's working for you, it may be best to skip the other products (except the ones to help with the yeast problem, of course) and just monitor how it's working. If it's not doing the job well enough, the side effects may not be worth it in the end. But that's something you need to figure out sooner than later, IMHO. If you're prone to yeast infections from using antibiotics, this will be an ongoing battle until you're done with the treatment. (That's my experience, anyway)
