So are there ANY games worth getting PS3 for before MGS/FF?

resistance if you are into that kind of thing, i really like it

if you don't have a 360, yea there is

but if you already have a 360, there isn't really anything worth getting the ps3 for yet
 
Lair looks promising
Heavenly Sword looks like a god of war style game

Those are the only two exclusive titles I can think of that may be worth getting other than Resistance. The rest are cross platform games like:

R6:Vegas
Assassins Creed
 
I'd honestly save your money and buy a 360. The system is just as powerful, and is much easier to design on leading to more games and more franchises. Even Kojima, maker of MGS is considering moving away from a ps3 exclusive contract.
 
i played the ps3 at eb today, saw a couple racing demos played a bit of madden... nothing at all influencing me to upgrade from my 360.

to be fucking honest, im disappointed with the entire console thing...

i got my wii, loved zelda, have no interest in playing anything else, i have my 360, have gears and a couple others, have no interest in playing anything else... nothing enticing me to get a ps3...

i guess its just getting older, when you're a kid you don't notice a mediocre game and enjoy anything - now that im 22 i dont really have the same time to waste on a game that isnt stellar.
 
The main reason i want a ps3 is first i dont have a 360 i was close to getting one. But no games really caught my eye except for Gears.

The one thing i liked about the ps3 is the blu ray. Thats about it. Im not a huge gamer but ill play the ps3 every once in a while. Madden looks like a good title to play. I liked it on the 360 im sure ill like it on the ps3. Not really excited about getting the ps3 for games at the moment but looking forward to fight night rnd 3 and future titles. Resident evil looks good. And resistance and call of duty 3 should hold me over for a while.
 
imo the ps3 isn't worth getting until this summer, at the absolute earliest. i think we're looking at closer to a year until there are enough games out to make it worth the expense. i have yet to see anything for it that has better graphics than are on the 360 (most actually look worse), so it comes down to ps3-only titles. as of now there aren't any ps3-only titles that i can justify spending ~700 to get (system + game). we also still have yet to see if blu-ray will make it, or if hd-dvd will be the new format that people are going for.
