Snoring

I am going INSANE !!! My husband's snoring has gotten SOOOO bad lately!!! It is so loud that I can hear him downstairs when he is upstairs. It used to be that when his snoring got bad, I could just elbow him and he would change positions and it would be all right, but lately if I elbow him, he will just change positions and keep on snoring. Please help!!! The only way I can sleep is downstairs on the couch with earplugs. I've tried sleeping pills but the snoring persists. He is wearing a Breathe-Right strip right now and snoring like a freight train. A friend of mine suggested large quantities of vodka but I'm not ready to try that just yet! Any other suugestions would be appreciated!!!

Try "Breathe Right Snore Spray" along with the Breathe Right Strips. Several sprays should help moisten the area and reduce the noise.

When you have to poke him, make sure he wakes up real good and demand that he use the snore spray AGAIN even if it is just an hour after the original spraying. Othewise he will turn over and keep right on snoring. They do not like their sleep disturbed to do this, however, it is necessary to slow them down.

Make a chin strap and have him wear it. Yeah, he will really hit the ceiling and may not even try it. My husband refused to wear one. If I have to poke him a third time he is suppose to go to the other bedroom. Nope, he does not budge, stays in our bed snoring away until I yell loud enough to get him good and awake and DEMAND he use the snore spray again (3 or 4 squirts). After all wives need sleep too.

Three nights without sleep wipes me out.

If he is overweight, losing weight will help because the throat area has fat stored too. Less fat will allow better air flow. Also using a deconjestant nasal spray at bed time will help.

Good luck in finding something that will work.
