After sex with my partner my vagina and discharge is very smelly for the next few days, but then if I don't have sex with him for a week or so then it is no way as bad. It's not really itchy down there although I am completely shaven so if there is at all it is most likely to be that.
The discharge is kind of yellowy in colour and it is definately not my period, as I had that last week.
Is it my partner or me? How can I get rid of it without having to go to the doctors because it is so embarassing I don't want a doctor inspecting me! Also, are vaginas usually smelly the morning after sex??

I think it is a mixture of the vagina's natural lubricating "juices" (for want of a better word - it does make it sound like gravy...) and the semen. I get this too the morning after sex, but the first poster may be right in that it could be something to do with bacterial vaginosis.

It depends on the type of smell... Is it a fishy smell? If so then I it's possible that you have bacterial vaginosis. The main symptom of bv is a very strong fishy odor in your discharge. This gets worse around your period and during/after sex which would explain why you smell it so strongly after intercourse. Even though you don't want to, go to your doctors and get this checked out. I know how embarrassing it can be, I've been there several times before. But if this is what it is then it's easily curable with a prescription for flagyl which is a pill you take twice a day for a week, there is no over the counter cure. And if this is what it is you want to get it treated as soon as possible because it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease if left untreated. Before you go, you can always buy one of those monistat testing kits to see what type of infection you have
