I got a 36gal fish tank by Aqueon and set that up yesterday. There is a smell of adhesive coming from the water. I added SEACHEM stability in the water and added three small danios. Within 1 hr one of the danio died and the rest two were almost dead. When I moved them to a different fishtank they are doing good now. I have one 30 gal bio filter and one 20 gal bio wheel filter, two decorative pieces from petsmart, and white gravels at the bottom. When the filters are running there is a a smell of some kind of adhesive. I have tried switching of one filter and checking if the smell is from either one of the filters. Its the same smell if even any of the the filters are running, so I think its not the filters. I took out the decorative pieces dried them, the smell is no more when they are dry. Can anyone help from where the smell is, or is it this smell that is killing the fish.
