Smartphone?

I need a new phone becuase i broke mine last week. I will be honest, i barely know anything about the current phones on the market.

I heard about some smartphones, which could have an MSN client installed on them, and then used so you dont have to pay per message, you can just pay for a certain amount of bandwith (someone told me about it, he had a Nokia N70). I dont know whether anyone has any idea how i could do this, and buy an amount of bandwith for ?5 or something, to give me 'x' KBs on my current O2 SIM?
I could get one for ?150 - ?200 from ebay, how much would it cost to have one unlocked, and how do i do that?

Also, any other options other than the N70, i saw sony erricson had some walkman like phones out, although i am not particularly interested in music playing as i have an mp3 player.

Things i would like is, a decent camera, bluetooth, video, nice screen. (also i like flip phones, but i am not sure whether there are any of these on the market for what i want? would be nice, but not nessacery)
Anyone have any opinions on what i have said? Thanks

Ed

look at a qtek 9100 or something simliar to that.. look for dopod, imate, o2 brands.. even tmobile and cingular have versions of it.. 8125 or something.

they all seem a bit too PDA like, i was still looking for a phone, but with the windows mobile. I think i will go for the N70, i have looked at it a little more, and it seems the best affordable option.

can anyone answer the question on the MSN client for the mobile, and the buying internet bandwidth instead of paying per minute?

how about a dopod s300.. its a clam shell based windows mobile phone

i relly like spiderss's signature.. very nice!

how much are all these phones costing? i cant find any on ebay, the N70 i saw on ebay for around 150-200, although most needed to be unlocked. Are those others around that pricerange

If you use AIM i believe it is per message and it is charged as a text message. If you use agile messanger I think there is an option for msn messanger and you are charged as part of your media pack (internet charges). I have unlimited media pack so I don't get charged for the messanging, but I don't know how much each message would take up in terms of Kbs. You normally buy a package dependent on MBs, 1,5,10,20 etc. Hope this helps, contact your provider and check out there plans.

I, too, am looking to buying a smartphone. I currently have the 5600, but I'm searching for something newer and a clamshell.

I checked out the s300 and it looks neat. Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

the s300 is probably yoru best bet.. i was lookin at that myself. i thought that was pretty nice.. its diff for a ppc phone. but gives u more familiarity with other cells. it resemebles more of a fone.

Anyone know where we can purchase Dopod phones in Canada? I did a search on ebay.ca and didn't find anything.

Thanks for the advice!
